I went into work by C-Train to Heritage Station, then took the bus downtown at 6 a.m.
Heard about flooding, but did not realize extensive damage. Started usual workday in bank, then branch manager came in, and we had no idea what was going to happen. It was then announced that our building was going to close down, due to the the emergency. It did not open for another week after the flood due to electrical damage. Waited, waited and waited longer for any bus to take me to SW Calgary, took several buses, and had no idea where I would end up. It was a long commute, and took three hours to get from building to home. I was relocated to another bank branch for the week. Our branch went out of business for a while, but fully recovered and triumphantly reopened.
